Allergies

Allergy season is in high gear in North Texas. The trees are budding and pollen is bursting forth. With pollen at level orange many days in the metroplex, many people find themselves with itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, wheezing, sneezing and the list goes on and on.

Out come the antihistamines, the steroid inhalers, nasal sprays, and the leukotriene inhibitors. If they are particularly hard hit with allergies, frequent suffers know all too well that once the symptoms start, that runny nose quickly evolves into a sinus infection. At this point, chances are good that they are reaching for the oft  perscribed steroid taper and antibiotic.
